Throughout my internship, I observed the application of quality standards across pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical testing processes, reinforcing the importance of accuracy, traceability, and regulatory compliance in diagnostics.
To address inefficiencies I identified in the variant curation workflow, including manual data retrieval and transcription errors, I developed Curator, an application that automates variant information retrieval and supports more efficient curation and report generation.
During my course, I developed a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the molecular testing of myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) , liquid handling robot protocol for DNA extraction and streamlined FASTQ to VCF analysis through bioinformatics.
